First teaser, first 100 steam wishlists
This week I spent a lot of time creating a short teaser showcasing the procedural generation of the game. I first posted it on reddit where it got quite a bit of exposure. It also brought in about 50 wishlists that day and today we surpassed the first 100 wishlists on steam.
Besides reddit I’ve posted the trailer also on Youtube, GameJolt and Twitter. With creating the trailer and doing all the social media preparations, postings and interactions taking a lot of time there was very little time to work on anything else this week. I’ve done a little bit of research and starting working on new modules for the spawning system to allow the generation of buildings. That system needs a lot more work before it is actually usable in the game though.
Notable tasks this week:
- Recorded, edited and published game teaser video on various social media platforms
- Research approaches to generate believable floor plans
- Start working on spawner modules to generate houses/buildings/structures
